Being a mom and worry about having healthy hair is difficult, to say the least. Between feeding them breakfast to tucking them in at night, finding time to get yourself together may not feel like a possibility. The good news is, you’re not alone! We’ve compiled a list of tips to make your lives a little easier so that you can effortlessly put some glamour back into your daily routine.
Wash Sparingly
Truth be told, it’s unnecessary for most people. Shampoo does strip our hair of natural oils and can actually cause frizz. When we apply products because we think our hair is frizzy or unruly, it may actually be because we’re over washing our hair. Try washing your hair every 2-3 days. It will save an exception amount of time, and might even improve your hair’s health by reducing frizz!
Dry Shampoo
Not all hair types can go without shampooing every day, but don’t worry just yet. If you haven’t used dry shampoo before, once you do, you won’t know how you’ve lived without it. Applying dry shampoo at night is even more effective because it saves you time and you can still apply it to any oily strands in the morning. Enjoy your extra time and your shiny locks!
Deep Conditioning
You may not have the time to make it to the salon, but there is a multitude of home treatments you can apply to give your hair a boost of strength. It’s as easy as giving your hair thorough wash and towel dry, sectioning it off, and starting the application! More specific instructions will be given with whatever treatment you choose, but this is a great option every few weeks for some much needed TLC.
Frequent Trims
This may be something you do have to leave the house for, but you deserve some relaxation, too! A deep conditioning will improve the look and strength of your hair, but your ends have to be trimmed to maintain healthy hair. It’s important to get your hair trimmed every 4-6 weeks. If healthy hair isn’t tempting enough, the shampoo and condition from your stylist should be!
Try a Short Style
A drastic change can be scary, but think of the all the time you’ll save! Plus, change is always fun, right!? A low maintenance bob or lob is a great shortcut for your beauty routine in the morning. It will definitely save time in the morning, improve your hair’s health, and might even give you a boost of self-confidence! You don’t have to cut off 10 inches, but short hair has never been trendier.
Having healthy hair doesn’t have to be impossible just because you’re a busy mom. With a few alterations to your schedule and making sure you make time for yourself, your hair will be back to its old glory in no time. Plus, you deserve it! What are some of your favorite haircare remedies?
