I like for my house to be spotless and everything to be in its place but when you have kids this can be challenging. It seems that kids live to throw their toys everywhere and make big messes. I know most of you moms can relate to this. Therefore, I want to share with you a few tips to help prevent this problem in the playroom or play area.
- The Toy Detox: Start by dejunking your kids’ playroom. Get rid of all those toys your kids no longer play with. The ones that are just taking up space. Donate them to your kid’s friends, goodwill or kids in your neighborhood. Not only does this feel good to detox the room but you feel good about giving to others.
- The Small Stuff: One of my favorite organizers to use is a cookie jar. They are stylish and an easy way to organize all of those markers, crayons, and chalk. This also helps them from getting broken or lost.
- Make-Shift Decorations: How many pictures do our kids draw for us? An unnecessary amount if you ask me! But it keeps them busy so I don’t mind wasting a few trees in the process. Instead of cluttering up the fridge or having random picture frames all over the house hang a piece of string on the wall and hang them from that. Not only does this save the other areas of your house from looking cluttered but it decorates the playroom appropriately. Not to mention, your child will feel like a million bucks to have all of their work on display!
- Condense: Puzzle boxes and board games take up way too much room. No need to fear, I have a way to solve this problem. Put all of those puzzles pieces or board pieces into plastic bags and store them in a basket in the corner of the room. Boom, instant shelving and/or floor space!
Don’t let your kids’ playroom stress you out any longer. Take all of those unnecessary toys out and find fun ways to organize all the ones you choose to keep. Take a deep breathe and know its possible!
