As your kids grow older, more and more junk will pile up in their rooms. But, as they are kids, they will not want to get rid of anything! My bedroom was full of junk- games, projects from school, collectibles, dolls, you name it. And my bedroom, as you can probably guess, was a mess. It is hard trying to find storage space in bedrooms, but these 6 ideas will help avoid a lot of messes and make much more room for your kids to play.

1. Storage bins under the bed
There is so much wasted space under beds that can be utilized for storage of toys or old school work. Putting these items in storage bins rather than loose under the bed is much more organized and you will avoid losing items.
2. Corner space shelf
Corners are another huge lost space in bedrooms. Use this space for a corner shelf to place items on. In this picture, it looks great with the two beds on either side of the shelf! You can also add your own style and make corner shelves by cutting wood into triangle wedges, and align them along the corner of the wall.
3. Vertical hanging shelf from Ikea
Kids LOVE these types of shelves because they are mobile and can twist around. They are different and fun as opposed to the usual wooden shelf. These are perfect decorations for kids rooms as well and come in all different colors at Ikea. Ikea has many different versions of shelves that attach from the ceiling that look great and store well in any kids’ room.

4. Window seat with storage
This is a great way to make space of a wall with a window! I love this setup. Use different colored storage bins to go with the colors of your kids’ room.
5. Swing for stuffed animals
I had SO many stuffed animals when I was younger and didn’t know where to put them as my collection grew. I always threw them in a bin, but this swing is a cute and efficient way to display them, while taking up little space.

6. Table with storage space
This is a great way to store things like pencils, paper, and desk supplies for your kids! Use a table that has storage space in it to save space. I love the floor table with the storage been under, too. Be creative!
There are so many ways to make storage space! This is just 6 simple ways that will be helpful in making your kids’ room a little less messy and a little more organized.
