It can be hard to get your kids excited about a meal, especially breakfast. Your kids may want sugary cereal while you want them to eat healthily. What’s the perfect balance? Waffle pizza. It incorporates both the yummy sweetness of a waffle, the protein of peanut butter, and any healthy fruit you want! This recipe is so easy and quick, you won’t waste any time by making it in the morning. Plus, it’s a great breakfast choice you and your kids can both agree on.
Waffle Pizza
Ingredients
Mini (or regular sized) whole grain waffles
Peanut butter
Cut strawberries
Sliced Bananas
Directions
- Spread the peanut butter on the top of the waffles. If your child is allergic to peanuts or nut butter, you can try sunflower seed butter or cookie butter as an alternative!
- Place the sliced bananas on top of the peanut butter. You can cover the entire waffle with bananas or make any fun shape you want!
- Next, place the sliced strawberries on top of the bananas. Again, you can put strawberries over the entire waffle or place them sparsely throughout to make a fun shape. One of my personal favorites it to make a smiley face with the strawberries and bananas.
- Enjoy! This breakfast treat is a simple and easy way to give your kids a healthy and filling breakfast- and make them smile!
