There’s nothing quite as fun as working all day to organize your pantry. But, we all have to do it, right? However, the way you’re organizing your pantry can make a huge difference. If you organize your pantry using different categories you’ll know exactly where everything is and cooking will be a lot easier, too! So we have some tips on how to effectively organize your pantry – the simple and easy way!
Snacks & Cereals: First step to organize your pantry is storage categories. For easier access, I keep all the snacks and cereals on the lower shelf of the pantry. This keeps the kiddos from asking me every few seconds for a snack when I have a million things to do around the house.
Misc. Snacks: Next is for all the fruit snacks, crackers, and energy bars. I hate having a bunch of half-emptied boxes in the pantry. So instead, I empty out boxes and put everything in one drawer. This will keep you from having to constantly throw out boxes and keep everything in one place. You can even buy baskets to separate the items if you want to get fancy!
Baking Items & Soups: The rest of my pantry is sorted by placing baking things on the top shelf. If you don’t use these things very often, they don’t need to be on the middle shelves! For items you do use more often, try to place them at eye level. It always works better to keep soups together, pasta, so on and so forth.
Grocery Lists: When you’re making a grocery list, go shopping in your pantry first! If you have a lot of pasta, for example, spaghetti is in your near future. If you have a lot of games next week, make sure you have some quick weeknight meals. Make sure you make a list based on your schedule but make sure you don’t over-purchase, either.
Life happens, dinners are rushed, and having your pantry organized isn’t always the top priority. However, an organized pantry can work wonders and make a huge difference in your home. What are some of your favorite tips for an organized pantry? Let us know in the comments below!
