Holidays are my favorite times to start new traditions and spend time with kiddos. One of my absolute favorite holidays is without a doubt, Mardi Gras. Believe it or not, this holiday is so much more than adult celebrations and late nights with adult beverages. You get to enjoy delicious treats, make fun masks, and enjoy some awesome parades! So in honor of Mardi Gras season, we’ve gathered some of our favorite family-friendly activities.
These masks are SO much fun to make with the kiddos! They get to choose their own colors and combinations are will have an absolute blast making these masks fit for any celebration.
You’ve heard of leaving your Christmas trees up and tossing beads on them, right? If you haven’t, you’re seriously missing out! However, if you’re looking for other ways to bring a slice of New Orleans into your home, these beaded wreaths are adorable! You’ll have tons of fun making them and they’ll make your front door ready for the season!
Okay so you’ve heard of slime and your kiddos may have outgrown it. If so, these calming jars are the next best thing! They give your kiddos a minute to themselves, for their minds to calm down and for them to calm down a little bit. They’re a blast to make and you can have so much fun with different color combos and variations.
Like I said, Mardi Gras is without a doubt one of my favorite seasons of the year. Filled with so much happiness and color everywhere, it’s a celebration every February in our home. What’s your favorite winter holiday? Leave your comments below!
