Taking your kids on a picnic is a great way to spend time with the family on nice sunny days. When you think of going on a picnic, you shouldn’t have to worry about what your family will eat. Preparing the food to take on your picnic should be fun and simple- not stressful! Here are two recipes for simple snacks kids (and adults) absolutely love. They’re easy to make and perfect to take on the go with you. They’re even simple enough for your kids to help make them! Both recipes have only two simple steps so you can spend less time preparing your meals and more time enjoying the day with your family. And the best part is, you can easily pack and unpack the skewers without making a mess!
Turkey, Cheese, and Cucumber Lunch Box Kebabs
- Cut the cucumber into bite size slices.
- Begin putting the ingredients onto the skewer. Alternate between the turkey, cheese, and cucumber until you have filled an entire skewer.
Strawberry Brownie Kebabs
Bite size brownies
- Cut the stems of the strawberries off, and cut them into smaller pieces if your prefer. If you are working with bigger brownies instead of bite-sized ones you can cut these as well.
- Alternate between the strawberries, brownies, and marshmallows on the skewer until it is filled.
These two recipes are so simple and super filling. Your kids will love eating food off of a skewer rather than just a normal sandwich, and you will avoid making a mess as well. Enjoy!
