Oatmeal Energy Bites are super easy to make at home – even your kids can help! Another great part is that you can switch these bites up however you like. These bites will definitely become a favorite snack. They will keep you happy and full all summer long.
Classic Oatmeal Energy Bites
1 cup dry oats
¼ cup nut butter
¼ cup honey
½ cup chocolate chips
Optional: vanilla and salt
- First, add all of the ingredients into a bowl and mix it together. Your kids will love mixing the ingredients together by hand. Mix until the mixture is totally combined and should feel a bit sticky!
- Chill the mixture for about 30 minutes
- Remove the mixture and scoop out the dough and roll it into balls. There should be about 12 balls from this mixture
- Lastly, Store the balls in the fridge or freezer until you are ready to take them on the road with you!
What’s great about this simple recipe is how easily it can be changed. You can use any nut butter you want- almond butter, peanut butter, etc. to fit what you and your kids would like best.
