The weather is getting nicer, which means there is more incentive to go outside! Use the colors of spring to create these three spring inspired crafts & projects with your children!
1. Shower Curtain Mural This is great if your children have their own bathroom or if you just want to spruce up your own! Any theme works, but there is plenty of springtime inspiration. Take a walk outside with your children, and take pictures of scenes that they find most enjoyable (flowers, lakes, etc.). Once you get home, you can use acrylic paint to render the photo onto a shower curtain. Encourage your child to add more to their depiction by adding people or animals. The more personalized, the better. Your child will love waking up to see their own work every morning!

2. Flower Pots and Gardening
Gardening is always a good idea for the spring. But give your child a bigger hand in the process to decorate the flower pot. Pick up a few unglazed clay pots at your local craft store. From there, the possibilities for materials are endless. Create a mosaic effect with cut-out tissue paper and mod podge, add seashells from a spring break vacation, or just adorn it with class paint!
3. Painted Rock Faces
Take Pet Rocks further by creating Rock Faces! You can use one rock or multiple, as shown in this tutorial. Go all out with hair, eyelashes, teeth, etc. by using leaves and additional crafts. The bonus to using multiple rocks is that your child can switch out the eyes, nose and mouth to create different versions of faces!
