St. Patty’s Day is not just for adults. A few years ago we may have been celebrating this day at our local pub, but now it’s time to start the crafts and family traditions. Check out these fun food traditions to start with the family now!
Pot of Gold
For this all you need is a box of Oreos (doesn’t matter what flavor) and edible gold color most. Spray your Oreos entirely and let them dry. Now you have gold coins! This is so fun for the kids and such an easy task for you in preparation for St. Patty’s Day.
Whip up a batch of Rice Krispie treats and add in green food coloring. Once they are done, snag a shamrock cookie cutter from your local grocer and cut out shamrock treats! This is equally as easy and who doesn’t love a sweet treat?
Staying with the simple trend, whip up a batch of cupcakes but before baking add green food coloring once again. For icing use a cream flavor and be sure to add shamrock sprinkles on top! You can make these more festive by buying festive cupcake liners as well. Also, check out these amazing Green Velvet Cupcakes on Love From the Oven.
These are so simple and so delicious you simply can’t say now. A little effort will go a long way and your kids will remember the fun times at St. Patty’s Day for the rest of their life. Snap a picture or comment below and tell us what your favorite St. Patty’s Day treat is!
