We know this time of year that the earth comes alive again after a long cold winter. There is promise all around us—in the leaf buds on the trees, in the rose bushes, and in the children that surround us.
The children in our lives are just like the roses. They need to be pruned and nourished and watered and cared for as you do your roses.
Your children want to know you. They want to know your stories. They want to try your skills. They watch to see how you view the world.
What are you teaching your children?
Do they know about kindness?
Do they learn to work hard?
Do they feel your love for them?
The promise of these children is that they will grow to be like us. Can we see the promise of their future like we can see the promise of the roses on the bush?
Spend time with the children in your life. They will bear fruit even greater than your roses.
They are the promise of spring in your life.
