Summer is sadly winding down and that means our kiddos are off to school in just a few weeks. So what better way to pump up the excitement than a marathon of summer movies? Get your kiddos excited about the school year while also giving yourself some peace and quiet. Here are some of the top family favorites for summer movies.
The Incredibles 2
This is a family favorite world-wide! The story of the Incredibles who have to conceal their superpowers takes on a whole new battle in the sequel. There are tons of laughs and Jack-Jack finally makes his debut! This is a heartwarming film that will be fun for you and the kiddos. Not only will this movie make you laugh, but also cry and everything in between. Depending on how old your kiddos are they might have to catch up on the Incredibles first.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
Jurassic Park was one of my absolute favorite movies growing up! No matter how scary dinosaurs are, for some reason kiddos love the movies anyways. In the second movie in the series of Jurassic World, the park is in shambles and dinos are running wild. This movie will make you laugh and cry, however, it’s a great movie for the entire family.
Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation
If your kiddos are fans of the first and second Hotel Transylvania, this is perfect for you guys! Check out how Dracula and all of his favorite friends spend their summer vacations. This movie is full of laughs and is sure to keep everyone entertained!
Small Foot is at the top of our list for our summer movie picks. Kids will love the storyline as much as adults. Instead of the search of creatures humans consider Bigfoot, Bigfoot is searching for small foot, otherwise, know as humans. It’s a great way to teach children empathy and understanding others point of view. Not to mention it’s packed with tons of laughs and cute characters, too!
Going to catch some summer movies with your kiddos isn’t a bad way to spend a summer day! The best part is, all of these summer movies can be enjoyed by both adults and kiddos. What are some of your favorite summer movies of 2018? Leave your comments below!
