Pinterest is a great way to share wonderful DIY projects, children’s activities and family recipes. But not all of what we pin are necessarily so pin-worthy. Through lots of great finds, messy kitchens, and willing audiences, we have found five great Pinterest dinners that you can count on.
1. Pioneer Woman’s Sour Cream Noodle Bake
Think of this like an all-natural, made from scratch Hamburger Helper. Just a few simple, wholesome ingredients and about 30 minutes makes this one of our favorite weeknight meals. Kids ask for seconds, and husbands look forward to leftovers packed in lunch the next day.
2. Martha Stewart’s One-Pot Pasta
Great for meatless Mondays, this recipe only incorporates fresh ingredients that are easy to find in any market. We love that it is prepared in under 30 minutes and is a great “grown-up” meal without too much effort. The recipe is simple enough that you can adjust the flavors to your taste.
3. “Best Pot Roast Ever!”
When we saw the title of this one, we thought, “Bold words, Pinterest, bold words.” But it has been made countless times, and there hasn’t been a single disappointed eater! Honestly, we haven’t even bothered with any other pot roast recipe after finding this one! We suggest cutting some of the fat out of this dish by substituting chuck roast for chuck shoulder.
4. Jalapeño Popper Chicken
A fun dinner that is sure to get everyone at the table, it’s another quick and easy to assemble dish. (Are you noticing a trend?) Double the recipe to feed a family, and scoop out the jalapeño seeds to cut out the heat.
5. “The Very Best Meatloaf Recipe”
Not necessarily our favorite to cook, this meal deserves extra effort, due to the guarantee that it brings everyone to the table! You can’t go wrong with classic comfort food. We suggest molding mini loafs to cut down on cooking time.
