Bell Peppers
Whether you prefer red, green, orange, or yellow, bell peppers are a must in your diet. Not only do they have tons of vitamin C, but they heavily influence collagen production. Collagen production is what makes our hair and skin beautiful! Try tossing a bell pepper in a salad with some tomato and avocado or mix them into your favorite stir-fry recipe.
Spinach
You may hear tons about kale, but kale has nothing on sweet, sweet, spinach. Spinach has a massive dose of protein, Vitamin C, and Vitamin E. It protects your skin from harmful rays and has tons of antioxidants. You need to at least eat 2 cups a day, whether that’s in a salad or tossed into an omelet.
Blueberries
Speaking of antioxidants, blueberries are what you would call the queen of them all. They contain one of the highest amounts of antioxidants compared to any other fruit! Not only does it help fight off inflammation and stress, it is a huge help to your hair and nails. Eat a handful in your morning yogurt or snack on some during the day!
Almonds
Another top contender is a snacking favorite – almonds! They are jam-packed with proteins and magnesium, which is a great asset for healthy hair and nails. It helps with stress, which is a heavy contributor to hair loss. Throw some on your salad at lunch or snack on some throughout the day!
Salmon
Salmon may be just one of the best superfoods yet. Not only is salmon delicious, it’s packed with omega-3 which is not only good for your skin but promotes serious heart health! Salmon is full of biotin and protein and is a must in your diet if you’re looking to take better care of your skin. Don’t forget, your scalp is skin too! It’s important to keep it moisturized and healthy for those long, silky locks.
